Harry McFadden

All About Harry...
Harry McFadden has spent 16 years and counting chasing back to back winters across the globe. Harry is based in Wanaka, in New Zealand's Southern Lakes region.
Harry's coaching career includes roles at some of the biggest names in the industry. His roles include Snowsports Manager at both Coronet Peak and The Remarkables in Queenstown, New Zealand's largest snowsports school, Head Trainer for Rookie Academy International, NZSIA Senior Examiner, and NZSIA Ski Committee Member.
A three time NZSIA Interski Team member, Harry represented New Zealand at Pamporovo 2019 and Levi 2023, and has been selected to represent New Zealand again at Vail 2027.
His teaching resume spans the USA, Canada, Japan, China, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and New Zealand, including six seasons in Japan and five in Switzerland.
People often ask Harry what his favourite thing about skiing is, and it's genuinely hard to pin down. It's the sport itself, but it's also everything that comes with it: the camaraderie, the network, the equipment, the travel, the food. To Harry, that's all part of the ski life. It's the sensation of a ski carving through snow, the feel of a ski hitting a bump and rolling over it, the bounce in the legs through short turns, the skis diving deep into powder. He loves all of it, can talk skiing for hours, and is one of the biggest nerds in the sport when it comes to the details.
